Summer 2018 highlights in chronological order

Mom telling an ancestor story at Ambryn's birthday party

Lots of sleeopovers and games in Orem

Traditional taffy making.  It's all ceremony, no one really wants to eat it except Vanessa who broke a tooth.
Westgate toxic sludge baths
Moab rafting with Kaleb's fam, Stacey, and some other friends
We got on the river for a short warm up section to test our gear after getting to the launch quite a bit later than we'd planned.  By the time we got to camp, after dealing with strong upstream winds and extremely low water, it was 10:45 pm and absolutely pitch black (no moon).  Travis and Asher both said this was their favorite part of the trip.

Millcreek canyon water slides were another highlight, except when Stacey hit rocks jumping off the cliff.

Camping with Stacey's whole family in Huntington Canyon.  With Camille, Joe and their dogs, the humans were nearly outnumbered by dogs

This old technology is throwing me for a loop. I could see the blog, but couldn't interact on my phone. It has been fun to look back through some of my old blogs. If we can't get much response from this blog, maybe we could start a private facebook group. I have thought many times I would like to share things with the family, but don't want to post on facebook. I use to check my blogs everyday, but it is easier to know when someone posts or comments by getting email or facebook messages to follow up. What to you think? I am okay with checking the blog everyday, but don't know if others will. I love seeing your pictures, even though I am tad jealous. We have had a great summer, but I miss the family very much. I will post some pitures of our trip after I remember how to put pictures onto my google account. One step forward, two steps back.

Yeah, I think when blogs went out of fashion they kind of let the ease-of-use updates slide. I found the posting process to be pretty klunky and annoying. And the site isn't well-formatted for phone viewing or posting. Sooo, yeah we should probably find a better way.
